Engaging communities that HAVE with communities that NEED

How it all started

Several years ago, whilst recovering from eye surgery, I stumbled upon a startling fact in a local article: almost half of Wigan’s children live below the poverty line. This jolted me. I began reflecting on the everyday comforts and support my family and friends enjoy, things we often take for granted. Realising this stark contrast, I felt an immediate urge to help. Daffodils Dreams was born. Every child deserves the opportunity to pursue their dreams and experience a brighter future.

This is
Our Mission

Every child deserves a fair start in life, no matter their background or their parents’ financial situation. At Daffodils Dreams, we believe in equal opportunities for all children. Our goal is simple: help them tap into their potential and succeed in all areas of life. Whether it’s at home, school, or play, we want every child to get the chance they deserve.

Our goal is crystal clear: We’re on a mission to leverage the incredible relationships and insights we’ve gained to create a real, tangible difference in the lives of the children and families right here in Wigan & Leigh. In every step we take, we’re guided by the belief that every child and family deserves the opportunity to thrive, to dream big, and to build a brighter future. We will provide essential support to children in Wigan, offering clothes, bedding, toiletries, and seasonal gifts & special occasion treats, allowing them to enjoy their childhood.

Our Pre-Loved Boutique, open to the public, helps fund these initiatives. Join us in making a difference.

Our Impact

Together we can make a difference.

Wigan stands as a testament to community spirit, with its kind-hearted residents always ready to extend a helping hand. Daffodils Dreams aims to channel this generosity to assist those children who need it most. Everyday basics, which many of us hardly give a second thought to, remain out of reach for these children. Whether you can offer a monetary donation, gently used items, or a bit of your time volunteering at our Boutique, your contribution makes a world of difference.
If you’re a business owner, consider making a regular donation or offering vouchers. Hosting a fundraising event or simply spreading the word about our affordable Boutique can have a profound impact too. It’s through these combined efforts that we can continue providing joy during festive seasons and ensuring children have engaging activities during school holidays. Every gesture, big or small, bridges the gap of disparity and brings smiles to these young faces
